Meghan Markle: 'The only interesting thing about her is the man she married'

Meghan Markle is recording another season of her podcast Archetypes, according to royal commentator Kinsey Schofield.

Speaking to TalkTV's Jeremy Kyle, Ms Schofield said rumours in Los Angeles suggest the Duchess has started work on Season 2 of the show where she talks to celebrities, historians and experts about the history of stereotypes levelled against women.

"Meghan needs this attention, she needs all eyes on her and people talking about her because she has pursuits and passions of her own," Ms Schofield said.

"I do think she refuses to acknowledge, as she accepts all these Women of the Year awards, that the only thing interesting about her is the man she married.

In the first season of the podcast, Meghan spoke to the likes of Serena Williams, Paris Hilton and Jameela Jamil to "investigate and subvert the labels that try to hold women back".

The first season was met with mixed reviews, Guardian writer Sisonke Msimang called Megan a "rich out of touch woman", and accused the podcast of having not "much substance". Olivia Petter from the Independent called the first episode "the most self-congratulatory 57 minutes of audio you'll hear all year."

Rumours about the podcast reboot come as Buckingham Palace announced yesterday that Prince Harry would be attending the coronation without his wife, as she has decided to stay in California with their children.
