Former Home Secretary Priti Patel filmed dancing with Nigel Farage at Conservative Party conference

The former Home Secretary Priti Patel has been filmed dancing and singing with Nigel Farage at the Conservative Party conference.

Ms Patel and former UKIP leader Mr Farage can be seen in footage enthusiastically throwing their arms in the air and singing the words to Frankie Valli's 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You'.

The video, posted on Twitter/X by political commentator Emily Hewertson, shows Mr Farage singing the 1967 classic with Ms Patel.

“Priti [and] Farage, what a combo,” Ms Hewertson wrote alongside a brief clip from the event at the Hilton Deansgate hotel.

This was the first time Farage has attended a Tory gathering in three decades, and Ms Patel was full of praise for the politician and the broadcaster he is part of, GB News.

She called the controversial channel a “defender of free speech”, and thanked staff for “absolutely everything they do”.

GB News itself has been under immense pressure after three presenters, Laurence Fox, Dan Wootton and Rev Calvin Robinson, were all suspended for reactions to comments about a female journalist made by Fox.

However, Mr Farage hailed the karaoke party as proof that “GB News is a fun organisation”, according to the Telegraph.

The 59-year-old has recently rejected suggestions he could re-join the Conservative Party, after Rishi Sunak left the door open to a possible return.

The Prime Minister described the Tories as a "very broad church" when asked about the prominent Brexiteer's potential membership renewal.

Farage responded: "Would I want to join a party that’s put the tax rate up to the highest in over 70 years, that has allowed net migration to run at over half a million a year, that has not used Brexit to deregulate to help small businesses?

“No, no and no.”

He added: “I achieved a lot more outside of the Tory party than I ever could have done from within it.”
