'She has a baby!' Screams as Israeli mother and two young children are snatched by Hamas fighters

Video of Hamas fighters kidnapping a terrified Israeli mother and her young sons has been published by the group on social media.

Shiri Silberman-Bibas, 30, screams as the militants drag her from a safe room in their home near the Gaza border while carrying Ariel, 4, and Kfir 9 months, as someone shouts: "She has a baby!"

Shiri's husband Yarden sent a series of text messages to family members as their home was raided, with the last message simply stating: "They're coming in."

The whereabouts of the family are unknown but there are fears they have been taken to Gaza to be used as human shields. Shiri's cousin Yosi told journalists of the moment he first saw the video.

"The first time I saw the pictures I couldn't believe it," he said. "I couldn't comprehend what I saw. My fear is they have been separated, injured or killed and we won't see them again."

Shiri's parents, Yosi and Margit, are also missing after militants raided a Kibbutz in Nir Oz, a village by the Israel-Gaza border.

Israel says as many as many as one hundred citizens may have been taken hostage by Hamas fighters.

The wife and two daughters of Israeli Yoni Asher were kidnapped from the same village. The father has made an impassioned plea for their safe return.

Hamas has released a statement threatening to execute an Israeli captive every time Israel bombs a Palestinian home.

Israel is reeling from the largest attack on its territory by Hamas fighters in a generation.

Unconfirmed reports estimate at least 900 Israelis were killed and more than 2,600 injured.

Israel has called up an unprecedented 300,000 reservists and imposed a blockade on the Gaza Strip, raising fears the nation is planning a ground assault on the region.
